Description: An introduction to the history and great men of the Middle Ages, like Attila the Hun, Charlemagne, William the Conqueror, Edward the Black Prince, and Joan of Arc, among others. The Famous Men of the Middle Ages guides students through the turbulent "dark age" of history and illuminates how the world transitioned from the end of ancient times to the birth of the modern era. Students will learn famous quotes, key events, people, and places, learn new vocabulary, as well as mapwork and timelines. Students will need to devote 30 minutes per day for this class. The grade is based on participation, quizzes, enrichment assignments, and an exam.
