Description: A course covering units 6-14 of Latin: First Year, by Robert J. Henle ("Henle Latin"). This class covers the subjunctive mood, active and passive of verbs; relative clauses; direct questions; vocative and imperative moods; advanced work in pronouns and prepositions; ablative constructions; infinitive noun constructions; numerals and irregular adjectives. Short readings on history will also be presented. Average students will need approximately 45-60 minutes per day to complete the work in this class. The student assessment is based upon attendance, participation, weekly quizzes, and exams. This class is worth 1 high school credit.
Grade Level: 9-12
Prerequisites: Completion of Units 1-5 of Henle First Year Text or equivalent.
Required Materials: Henle Latin First Year Text, Henle Latin I Key, and Henle Latin Grammar (used in all four years). Students will also need a USB headset microphone (built-in microphones also work).
