First Form Latin Intensive (Adults)

Description: The Adult First Form Latin class is being offered to adult learners, homeschool parents, and teachers with little to no experience in Latin. The goal of this course is for adults to learn the foundational elements of this inflected language and to attain enough of a working knowledge of Latin to confidently lead students in the classroom or at home without needing to immediately “master” the language, per se. Students can enjoy the camaraderie of “being the student” and will benefit from the accountability that comes from a synchronous (live) class, all under the guidance of an expert teacher. Adult students who have a background in either Prima Latina or Latina Christiana will have some advantage, but this course is designed to begin at “ground zero”.

Grade Level: This is a full, compressed class meant only for adults (18+).

Prerequisites: None

Required Materials: First Form Latin Student Text, Student Guide, and Answer Key. You may use either the student text OR the teacher manual (which includes the student text and extra information). You will also need a USB headset microphone (built-in microphones also work).

Optional Supplements: Students will benefit from the First Form Latin Pronunciation CD.
