Henle Latin I, Units 6-14
Description: This course covers units 6-14 of Latin: First Year, by Robert J. Henle (“Henle Latin”) including the subjunctive mood, active and passive of verbs, relative clauses, direct questions, vocative and imperative moods, advanced work in pronouns and prepositions, ablative constructions, infinitive noun constructions, and numerals and irregular adjectives. Short readings on history will also be presented. Students need approximately 45-60 minutes per day to complete the course work. The student assessment is based upon attendance, participation, weekly quizzes, and exams. This class is worth 1 high school credit.
Grade Level: 9-12
Prerequisites: Completion of Units 1-5 of Henle First Year Text or equivalent.
Required Materials: Henle Latin First Year Text, Henle Latin I Key, and Henle Latin Grammar. The Grammar book is designed for student use through all four years of the Henle Latin Series. Students will also need a USB headset microphone (built-in microphones also work).
