Julius Caesar

Description: One of Shakespeare’s historical plays and drawn from the records of Plutarch, Julius Caesar is based on the events surrounding the murder of Rome’s most famous emperor, Julius Caesar. This Shakespeare play raises questions about friendship, politics, and power. The play features one of the most famous speeches Shakespeare ever penned and one of the most chilling depictions of mob-mentality. Several seemingly disparate forces are at work, and the questions raised in Julius Caesar are just as relevant today as they were in Shakespeare’s day.
