Traditional Logic I (Self-Paced)

Description: A course on how we form ideas, judgments, and arguments, and how we express them, with an emphasis on the structure of reasoning. Along with a basic outline of some key principles, the text presents the four kinds of logical statements, the four ways propositions can be opposite, the three ways in which they can be equivalent, seven rules for validity. Students will need to devote 25-30 minutes per day for this class. The grade is based on weekly quizzes, and a final exam.
